Last year in December my life moved into a quite unexpected direction. My personal world began to tremble and I felt like losing the control of my life. And for me personal control about situations is quite important (and I can imagine the same is true for other witches and magical practitioners as well)
Now almost a year after the process of change started I learned to go with the changes, to accept it that we can not control our lives completely or the course of our lives. I learned to be relaxed even in times of uncertain situations.
Life is not a straight course- sure we plan the route- we plan the course we want our lives to be. And we work toward fulfilment of these plans. But life is not a straight course- life is more like a labyrinth. We follow the paths for a period and feel the security of the path before us- but then there comes a curve and we are back again on the starting point and begin to walk into the labyrinth again. But we are not alone on our paths- there are friends that walk with us and spiritual guides, the Gods and Goddesses that can lead us on our path through the labyrinth in life, and the familiar spirits, ancestors and other spiritual allies as well.
Sometimes we can not choose the situations in our lives- but we can choose how we handle them- and this is a lesson that I learned in the last months. Endings and beginnings are strongly interconnected with each other, death and rebirth, everything runs into cycles nothing is forever. We come again to crossroads in our lives, points of transition, points of change, we face challenges on those liminal points, but there is an ancient Goddess that watches over the crossroads of life and fate and she can lead us with her torches through the labyrinth of life and through the uncertain points of change, death and rebirth.
